About Fukuju
Fukuju, established in the Nada region of Kobe, Japan, is renowned for its exceptional sake crafted with a rich legacy spanning over 266 years. The name is derived from one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japanese mythology, Fukurokuju, which means "happiness" (fuku); "wealth" (roku); and "longevity" (ju).
Nestled near the auspicious Rokko Mountain, the brewery benefits from ideal climatic conditions that enhance the cultivation of sake rice and improve the fermentation process. Fukuju is dedicated to producing high-quality sake using pure Miyamizu water, sourced from local mountain streams, which contributes to its distinctive flavor profile.
With a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, they continue to produce sake that embodies the artistry and cultural heritage of Japanese brewing.
