Weapons Class (Bukiwaza)

Weapons are the very root of Aikido’s body movements (taijutsu). In this class, you will learn how extensions of the arms teach precision, distance (ma-ai), and centering. Mastering the weapon transforms how you empty-handedly redirect an attacker's energy.

The following advanced practices are mandatory technical requirements for Dan (Black Belt) rank examinations:

Ukemi Class

A great Aikidoka is a great uke (receiver). This class removes the fear of the mat. You will learn how to protect your body, maintain connection with your partner, and flow out of high-impact throws seamlessly. True confidence on the mat starts with knowing you can fall and rise without missing a beat.
